Cherry Filling


What you need……


1 lb. frozen cherries (685 g)

1 cup sugar (225 g)

1/2 cup water

Zest and juice from 1/2 lemon


2 Tablespoons unsalted butter (30 g)

2 Tablespoons cornstarch (20 g)

1 Tablespoon water

2 teaspoons vanilla

How to make this……


- add cherries, sugar, 1/2 cup water, zest and lemon juice to a pan and place on medium high heat

- Boil for 15 to 20 minutes

- add 1 T water to the cornstarch and mix to dissolve.

- add this mixture, vanilla and butter to the cherry filling and simmer 2 to 3 minutes
