Whipped Cream

yield: 4 cups/ 1 lb. 1oz/ 485 grams, or enough to ice and decorate an 8 inch cake


What you need.....


2 cups (1 pint/ 500ml) heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup (2 1/4 oz/65 g) confectioners sugar

1 tablespoon Vanilla extract


How to make this....


  1. Place all ingredients into the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment.

  2. Whip on medium speed until slightly thickened, about 1 1/2 minutes.

  3. Turn mixer to high speed and whip until thick (about another 1 1/2 minutes). Note: when you do this step, watch the mixture closely, it is ready when it looks like icing. If you whip it too much, it will turn into butter.
